Golf Instruction

​Ron Rawls, Head PGA Professional:

Ron has been teaching and learning golf for 30 years. He enjoys teaching all ages and all ability levels, and has taught numerous high school and college players who have gone on to successful amateur careers. The 2004 Pacific Northwest Golf Professional of the Year and the 2012 Rocky Mountain Section Golf Professional of the Year, as well as the reigning Rocky Mountain Section Senior Champion, Ron is excited about the opportunities to teach and learn at Crane Creek’s new practice facility that opened June 30, 2017.

Luke Sestero, First Assistant PGA Professional:

Luke has been a golf professional at Crane Creek for six seasons. He enjoys teaching players of all skill levels and believes the short game is the most important part to improving one’s game. He also enjoys incorporating the mental game and golf fitness into his instruction. Luke spent many years playing professionally on various mini-tours, including PGA Tour Canada. He graduated from Boise State University in 2003, where he was twice named Boise State Player of the Year, recording two collegiate wins. He has qualified for the National PGA Assistant Championship twice and also spent time as a caddie on the PGA Tour. His experiences have shown him what it takes to play the game at a high level and he loves helping others learn and improve.

Damian Short, Assistant Golf Professional:

Damian is in his eleventh year at Crane Creek. He was born and raised here in Boise, Idaho, where he also resides with his wife and two children. He is currently enrolled into the PGA/PGM program to become a Golf Professional. Damian loves sports and believes great fundamentals are the key to playing well!
