Tight fairways, lightning quick greens, and a pesky canyon that meanders through the back nine. That's a pretty accurate description of Crane Creek Country Club's recently redesigned course. It plays 7,071 yards from the tips, and with the option of playing any of eight sets of tees, it offers a great experience for players of all ages and abilities. It is a course that makes players sweat as well as smile rewarding shot-making over distance and a deft touch around the greens.
It's no wonder some of the best players in the valley hone their game with a steady diet of Crane Creek, including top prep teams and the Boise State University program. Nestled in the foothills, the 18-hole championship golf course features treelined rolling bent grass fairways that traverse their way past fairway bunkers to ultimately reach luscious, bent grass greens. Excellent turf conditions and expertly manicured features only add to the appeal.
Whether you walk or ride, you'll enjoy natural surroundings in one of Boise's most peaceful settings. With abundant wildlife and a dearth of traffic-noise it is hard to believe you are minutes from bustling downtown Boise. Crane Creek is strongly committed to preserve and enhance its wildlife habitat and natural resources, and has been designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Only 10% of clubs in the nation have acheived this status which signifies Crane Creek's committment to the environment. As a result, many members choose to walk the course instead of using golf carts.
Crane Creek has been recognized in the August 2017 issue of Pacific Northwest Golfer Magazine. Click here to read our renovation story.
